The product works well as claimed. This unit is being used unmodified on a Silicon Imaging SI2K digital cinema camera as a second camera assistant's monitor. P+S Technik use this same monitor for the camera operator control interface but modify it by routing the wiring harness to a breakout box they fasten to the back. They also replace cable plugs with robust Lemo connectors. They also replace the mounting bracket with a stronger piece. This is a weakness in the car mounting arrangement and can be expected to become damaged over time. It definitely would fail in four-wheel drive offroad use. It is the only detail which I think needs attention. |
